With such a range of coat types many may be asking what is the best shampoo recommended for grooming your Goldendoodle.
On the Golden Retriever side you see the straight and slightly coarse longer hair with dense undercoat.
Now the Poodle side has the very curly hair with no undercoat. It is a single coat dog unlike the outer coat and undercoat a Retriever has.
So this can result in various types of shampoo for the different coat results.

We had several of our community mention Cowboy Magic Shampoo, Cowboy Magic Conditioner and Cowboy Magic Detangler.
The detangler works great whenever your Goldendoodle gets wet to keep the mats and tangles away. Use it after any water time your Goldendoodle has.
Then for bathtime everyone seems to like the Cowboy Magic Shampoo and Cowboy Magic Conditioner. It has decent reviews outside of our community also as you can see here on Amazon.

A breeder & groomer of Goldendoodle’s recommended a good whitner shampoo but had nothing specific on brand, we saw Earthbath had great reviews on Amazon.
That is then followed up by Best Shot Ultra Wash which they say to let sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Then follow that with the K9ii using both motors. That will loosen and blow out all kinds of mats and tangles they said.

Best Dog Shampoo For Curly Poodle Like Hair
So with just these two breeds the result could be a more poodle-type coat resulting in curls full of bounce and coarse hair that’s soft to the touch.
For this we have received feedback that Sofee & Co. Dog Shampoo is a good choice. It has a delicate fresh scent to it. It was sublte and it is made from natural ingredients without any artificial perfumes in it.
It was mild and gentle with a good lather and rinsed away cleanly. The result was a soft coat. It gives coarse curls a nice touchability and is mild enough for weekly usage if your Goldendoodle gets dirty regularly.
