An F1B Goldendoodle is produced by crossing an F1 Goldendoodle with a Poodle. The F1B Goldendoodle has a higher success rate for being non-shedding and are recommended for families that have mild to severe allergies. The F1B Goldendoodle is 75% Poodle which is why they are the most hypo-allergenic (not a real thing) of the Goldendoodle generations. The results are a beautiful loose wavy coat to a curly plush coat. The F1B in Doodles is always bred back to the Poodle, not the other parent dog. This is done to achieve more of the desireable Poodle characteristics of non-shedding, intelligence and hypoallergenic. However, you will also get more of the physical characteristics of the Poodle as well.

Even though the F1B has 75% Poodle they do not look like a poodle or have their temperament. The puppies will vary in coats from loose wavy coats that look like an F1 Goldendoodle to a curly plush coat. The lack of shedding makes them great for families and with the coats they are the most hypo-allergenic of the Goldendoodles.

The F1B Goldendoodle will require regular grooming. It’s coat can easily get shaggy and lead to matted patches if not properly cared for.

You need to be careful to check out the breeder before you buy a Goldendoodle. They are susceptible to common health problems that bother many other dogs, such as hip dysplasia. Most breeders are extremely careful about breeding to remove these issues. Others will breed the animals ust for the sake of making money. Do your due diligence before you buy a Goldendoodle to make sure there is less chance of taking on a golden doodle that is going to run up vet bills.
